Aromatherapy Chamomile
Chances are that you are familiar with Chamomile, and maybe you have even tried Chamomile tea in the past. Chamomile is one of the most popular herbs and is grown widespread across regions such as North America, Africa, and Europe. There are many varieties and species of Chamomile, but some of the most used forms for healing and Aromatherapy are the English, German, and Roman varieties.
German Chamomile is also referred to as Wild Chamomile. The flowers of German Chamomile are 100% edible. They have been used in teas, and in herbal remedies. German Chamomile tea has been recommended for nervous conditions or to calm and sooth those who are suffering from anxiety.
It has sedative properties and will bring a state of calmness and serenity to those who drink it. German Chamomile has been used for treating stomach ailments, irritable bowel syndrome, skin rashes and irritation, and it is wonderful for treating acne.
You can use a few drops of the Essential oil for any skin irritation or add them to a carrier oil to create your own topical Chamomile oil. You can also blend German Chamomile oil with Jasmine, Lavender, and Rose.
Because of German Chamomile’s natural sedative qualities and the fact that it is extremely soothing to the skin, you can make a hot bath with 1 cup of dried German Chamomile flowers or herbs in a mesh bag, let the bag seep in the tub as you soak for at least 20 minutes.
Roman Chamomile is another very popular species that has a very prominent use in Aromatherapy and Alternative healing methods. Roman Chamomile has been successful in treating skin conditions such as boils, abscesses, cuts, and wounds. It is also a good remedy for muscle sprains, strains, and arthritis.
One great way to use either of the Chamomiles is to put them in a mesh or nylon bag and add the bag of herbs to your bath. This is an excellent way to relive the stress and pain of sore muscles. Chamomile is also a great way to enhance blonde highlights in those with light hair.
Chamomile Aromatherapy candles are another way to receive the wonderful benefits of this soothing herb. The candles may be burned when you are feeling anxious, depressed, or overly stressed.
For a marvelously relaxing experience, try burning a Chamomile aromatherapy candle while taking a hot soaking bath with Chamomile herbs. Because Chamomile is edible, it is a great remedy for children as well.
You can let children soak in an aromatic Chamomile bath, without any worry. The tea is also used to treat many ailments that children may experience, especially stomach upsets and nausea.
You can also feel comfortable letting your child drink some Chamomile tea if they are having an unusually difficult time falling asleep. Because of Chamomile’s sedative properties, you can rest assured that your child will be able to fall asleep using a safe and natural remedy. If your child is suffering from any skin irritations, they can also take a safe aromatic Chamomile bath.
